Delete your Oura account

This action permanently deletes your account and associated data. No login is required: verify you own the email with a 6-digit code.

What users need to do to request deletion

  1. Enter the email address of your account.
  2. Press Send verification code to receive a 6-digit verification code.
  3. Submit email, code, and the word DELETE for final confirmation.
  4. For partial data deletion, sign in to Dashboard > GDPR/Privacy and manage selected data sections there.

What data is deleted or retained

Deleted

  • Account profile data (name, bio, avatar, preferences).
  • In-app usage content associated with your account.
  • Personal location/availability metadata where no legal retention is required.

May be retained

  • Minimum transaction/tax records where required by law.
  • Payment records held by payment providers (for example Stripe) under their own policies.
  • Security/audit logs for fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Retention periods: up to 10 years where tax or legal obligations apply; otherwise data is deleted or anonymized earlier.

Note: Deletion is permanent. If you have pending Stripe payout obligations, Stripe may still settle them according to its policies.
